removing fruit and vegetable stains from clothes (juice, jam)

washables: start with denatured alcohol (ethyl alcohol).  using an eyedropper, flush with white vinegar to remove remaining color, then dish-washing detergent to remove residue.

non-washables: same as for washables, using water sparingly.  Even if you cannot see the stain, point out the area to dry cleaner, since any sugar that remains can caramelize with dry-cleaning products.
