Removing grease stains from clothing (butter, oil, mayonnaise)

washables: start with a combination of solvent and water.  Shampoo or dish washing liquid works.  Follow up with mineral spirits or oil solvent if necessary.

non-washables: use an oil solvent then dab with cool water; dry flat.

Anytime you spill food, dirt, ink, or any thing on your clothes, it is a good idea to treat it as soon as possible.  Even blotting with water until you get home will help prevent the spill from setting in your clothes.  When you get home, any laundry spray should remove the stain.

Hairspray is not just to keep your hairdo in place.  If you get pen ink on your clothes, apply a little hair spray and rub to remove ink.  You may have to reapply 1-3 times to remove the ink.  Then rinse with a little laundry detergent and the garment is ready to be laundered
